An Anniversary for the Entire Family

Last month was a pretty good one for my family and I. We went to Singapore for a vacation, and rented a bus charter in Singapore to get around. We went there because my parents were celebrating their anniversary, and they wanted all of their kids and grand kids with them to enjoy the celebration. Most people would want to go on a romantic trip with only their spouse, but it was nice of my parents to want us to come along. I’m glad they did have us come, because it was a fun experience that I probably wouldn’t have normally done on my own.

My parents had never been to Singapore, and neither had any of us, but they already had some locations picked out to visit. They had been watching the travel channel for many months and learned about different locations in Singapore that were perfect to see. That was pretty clever on their part, and I never even noticed that they were scoping out places to see on a trip. I just figured they wanted to learn about different places and wanted a little entertainment that was different from all of the crime dramas that they normally watch.

Now that I’m back home, I miss Singapore a lot. I never thought about it before, but it would be nice to live there permanently. I’d have to find somewhere to work and live, but it’s a nice place to be. Then again, it’s probably better that I only go there for vacation. If I was there all of the time, it probably wouldn’t be as special to me as it is now. Besides, I’d miss all of the things that I’m so used to seeing in my own country, and I’d miss my friends and family. I could call them, but it’s not the same.
